Queen’s Theatre is a much-loved 655-seat traditional receiving house, located in the heart of Barnstaple’s historic town centre.

With a rich heritage of performance on this site dating all the way back to 1435, the theatre has long been a cornerstone of culture and creativity in North Devon.

The current building, once known as The Queen’s Hall following a 1952 rebuild, has served the community in various guises over the decades. In 1993, it was modernised into the theatre we know today—a warm and welcoming venue with an active year-round programme and excellent audience facilities.
